The life of a day trader doesn’t start out with hot women and fast cars, even though many want to believe this. If this is what you want then let this be your ambition to succeed. Just like any business, you’ll need to put the majority of your time, energy and money into this venue. So before we get into the real life scenarios and the sacrifices that you’ll More >
Technical Analysis vs. Buy and Hold: What yields more?
Jan 28th
Either Way, Timing More >Regarding the role of the technical analysis in trading, before 1980s most researchers criticised it and concluded that is not able to produce as good results as the buy-hold strategy (Alexander, 1961; Jensen and Bennington, 1970; Fama, 1970). However, later studies have proven the opposite (Pruitt and White 1988, Bessembinder and Chan 1995). Trading rules/systems (using technical indicators) based on past data could create excess returns and prove that usefulness of technical analysis. Such conclusions had Brock, Lakonishok and Lebaron (1992), later Bessembinder and Chan (1995, 1998), Lo, Mamaysky and Wang (2000) and many others — Nikitas Goumatianos

Algorithmic Trading For Life
Jan 22nd
No doubt algo’s are taking the markets by storm as their presence control the majority of the trading volume. While some agree and others disagree whether they add efficiency or destroy the true equilibrium and purpose of a open market, their presence will only continue to grow.
The popularity for automated trading system continue to grow as volatility becomes too strong for manual traders act fast enough to maintain a profitable edge. If you can’t beat them, you might as well join them. I’ll be dedicating 2012 to only automated trading system development.

Their FXV1 Dot Com system -
- A $500 balance that opens up 50 lots. I don’t get it quite yet. It looks like the use of hedging massive lots to churn rebates for their ILQ White Label.

ForexGrowthBot and iDRAW
Jan 19th
With the latest updates to iDRAW, we can now use trendlines to close the ForeGrowthBot positions. Why would we want to do this? The main reason is that this highly profitable EA only works by following momentum. Therefore, if the momentum burst does not continue the FGB EA will eat up your profits, but not any more.
How Forex Growth Bot WorksThe FGB EA enters once a burst of momentum is confirmed and enters in the direction of the burst/spike. This strategy has proven to be successful in the long term as currency trends often continue in the same More >

ForexSocialSignal Explained
Jan 16th
I’m a little disappoint after watching the ITM financial youtube videos because I was expecting statistical figures with evidence that would give us a potential edge as a forex trader. Unfortunately, all the videos included were some chit chat, trading termonology and video footage of some trades running live… It wasn’t convencing to say the least.
Their idea is based off the Twitter Hedge Fund and if this is the first time you’ve heard of this, google it. You won’t be disappointed. You might even come across the research paper that introduced this theory of using social hubs as an More >
Why print money during a Financial Crisis?
Jan 15th
In 2008, the US Dollar increased in value despite the Financial crisis. From August of 2008 to November 2008 the EURUSD moved from a high of $1.56 ( 1 US dollar = 1.54 Euro) to a low of $1.23 ( 1 US dollar = 1.23 Euro). In Forex terms or in pips ( fractional cents) this 3 month move was over 3300 pips. Why would this happen?
The demand for dollars became extremely high and since there’s a limited amount of real currency ( not digital) the value had no choice to go but up. For example, if everyone went to More >
